Our weekend included an onsite personal chef dinner. These are our favorites since they usually mean that we have gotten to make a customized menu to our clients. For this event we had a 3 course meal with a hot appetizer, entree and dessert. This menu also included a great blend of spices so we thought we might share the end results of the meal below.
Jerk Chicken Tostones
For the tostones we also topped it with a mix of tomato, cilantro, onion, radish, bell pepper, and a little white wine vinegar. All together it turned out to be a super flavorful first bite to their meal.
Berbere Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Mixed Vegetables
For the mixed vegetables we added in some butternut squash to go along with the fall season. It added in not only a bit of seasonality but also a rich and slightly sweet flavor to pair with the spiced steak.
Pineapple Rum Cake with Coconut Ice Cream
This dessert was a perfect sweet finish to our clients meal. Along with our coconut ice cream and topped with a pineapple rum sauce to complement the flavors in the cake.
