We know this is a little late, but Happy New Year! We hope you had as amazing of a holiday season as we did and a great start to the new year. We got to enjoy time with family, a crazy but fun road trip and some much-needed time relaxing.
I don’t know about you, but this past year flew by for us! Anyone else feel like it goes from Jan. 1 to Christmas in a blink of an eye? Add in 3 kiddos and it feels like it goes even faster. Towards the end of the year we always take a look at a few things.
- How did the year go with our set goals in mind?
- What went well?
- What could have gone better?
- What do we want to implement or set for next year?
- What is our roadmap for the new year?
We know it’s been a while since we posted here or shared through email all the goings on behind the scenes, so we thought we’d share a little deep dive of the year here. With that, let’s dive in!
How did the year go with our set goals in mind?
While 2024 was a great year, it was also a tough one filled with ups and downs. We set a ton of hefty goals and intentions (maybe a little too many) that were a little to spread out. By this we mean from all different social platforms, content creation, blog posts and even podcast and that didn’t even take into account our actual personal chef business where we cook daily, weekly, or vacationally for clients. While it was great in theory, when it’s all said and done, we are a 2-person team and trying to do too many things at once also means we are not doing any of them to the best of our skill and ability.
We also ended up investing in way too many courses, activities and learning. Now hear us out on this one, we know learning is ALWAYS an important part of business, but you can only learn so much at once and having too many mentors creates a massively muddled brand. Learning from so many different awesome people was honestly amazing, but it was too much at once, so it all started to feel like everything we were doing was wrong. We were questioning our content, where our business was going, how much we should be posting, what we should be posting and so on. It created a bit of chaos that we had to work through midway through the year all the way to now.

Now we know that so far the year sounds like a downer, but we honestly don’t regret any of it. We learned A LOT of what works for us and what doesn’t, which makes it a huge win. We also continuously worked through wall kicking growth moments that we both totally feel has made us stronger.
What went well?
Our phrase that we selected at the end of 2023 to reflect 2024 was pushing the boundaries. While at the time we did not fully know what that entirely looked like, we both fully feel that this phrase fully encompasses what was 2024. We pushed ourselves to do and create way more than normal and because of that we have grown skills all across the board for business, tech and culinary.
What could have gone better?
While there are quite a few things that could have been better, the main one would be not having pushed myself into a massive burnout stage that I am still working through.
What do we want to implement or set for 2025?
In so many ways this year is getting back to the basics of what Two Chef Mission has been from the beginning and really diving back into embracing who we are. This means focusing on helping others enjoy more meals together around the table. This could be from their own home or on vacation. It may be from shared recipes, posts and videos or from us cooking meals for busy families.

What is our roadmap for the new year?
Right now in the simplest form it’s getting back into the consistency of posting, writing and creating. We can’t wait to see where this year takes us and we hope you will continue along the way with us!
We will catch you in the next post. Remember to subscribe to our blog below to keep up with what’s going on in the Two Chef Mission world.
