Ingredients
 
 

  • 1/2 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/4 each Onion diced
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp Thyme chopped
  • 1 each Carrot peeled and diced
  • 6 oz Green Beans thawed
  • 1 Tbsp Flour
  • 12 oz Stock
  • 2 each Potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/4-1/2 cup Milk whole or 2%
  • 2 oz cheese shredded
  • Salt as needed
  • Pepper as needed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F
  • Make mashed potatoes by cooking them in a pot of water, draining them and mash with milk, butter, salt and pepper.
  • Heat a saute pan on medium high, add in the ground meat and season. Cook 4 minutes and break up the meat while it browns.
  • Add in the onion, carrot, garlic, green beans and herbs. Cook 3-5 minutes. Stir in the flour and then the stock.
  • Bring to a boil and reduce sauce until its a bit thicker but not to thick.
  • Pour mixture into a baking dish and either spread or pipe the mashed potatoes on top. Top mashed potatoes with shredded cheese and bake 20-30 minutes
