Halloween food can be fun without becoming another entire project. A snack board works because you can combine familiar sweet, salty and crunchy foods with a few Halloween touches and make something that looks festive without actually cooking an elaborate spread.
Over the years we have made plenty of Halloween boards, ranging from fun kid focused treats to more traditional charcuterie. But one thing that didn’t change was the simple and fun ways to add in seasonality without too much added work.
This recipe is one our kids happened to enjoy a lot last year, but don’t worry we’ll also share the one we make later this month as well!
Grab the recipe below and if you want to see how we put it together there is a short towards the end of the post. We promise we won’t bore you with any crazy blog story antics, so now on to the snack board recipe!

Instructions
For Mandarin Pumpkins
- Peel Mandarins. Break a small piece of pretzel stick and stick in the top of the mandarin.
For Witch's Brooms
- Carefully press pretzel sticks into the bottom of the mini-Reese's cups to make your brooms.
For the Monster Brownies
- Spread a small amount of icing or ganache on the brownies and top with sprinkles, marshmallows, and eyeballs.
For the Spider Cookies
- Carefully separate the cookies. Break pretzels into similar length pieces so you have 8 spider legs. Place the legs on each side using the filling to help hold them in place. Top the cookie. Use some icing to add on 2 eyeballs.
For the Monster Mix
- Mix the Goldfish, marshmallows, mini-Reese's cups, and sour gummies together.
For the Platter
- Arrange the grapes and other treats on the platter and enjoy.
